My education:
BTech (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering)
My work and my background:
I work as a Program Officer at Vigyan Ashram, an Indian NGO. I work to initiate and establish businesses based on appropriate technologies - as a means of disseminating technologies directly to stakeholders.
I also oversee the FabLab at Vigyan Ashram. FabLabs are a network of Labs established as part of a long-running MIT project (http://fab.cba.mit.edu/)
What is my contribution to a Global Villages network
I am still exploring the concept, and am trying to see how I can contribute best. I can, however see immediate parallels in the work being done at Vigyan Ashram (www.vigyanashram.com) and its applicability here. I am looking for collaborative projects with the members of this community.
